Tonight I saw something that took my breath away.

As I was walking to my car to get my cards, I looked out over the horizon and saw the clouds pilled high, but in a very strange formation. It looked like a mountain. A huge, black mountain in the twilight. I stopped and gazed at it for about 10 minutes and my mind was filled up with all sorts of images, sights, and sounds.

I saw hillsides and mountaintops that I had seen as a kid going into the mountians with my Mom, Dad, Mama Snap, and Papa. I remembered feeling so awesome on the chairlifts and trams and how I was terrified of falling. I remembered the musty smell of the passageways and stairwells of the hotel we always stayed in. I remember being taught about how God made the world and how I'd listen, but never really listen.

The second thing I saw was where I've been. I turned around and looked at the blackness of the night sky and I was reminded of Christ's love and the Father's mercy and kindness. Its almost like I saw my life being unfolded before the Lord and I was grateful that he would skip over the times I've dwelled in darkness.

I turned back around to look at the sky again and I saw the mountain of clouds again, but it was begining to be milled down and become rounded at the top of it. . .as if it were being leveled slowly. I thought of what was going to happen in the next few months and remembered God's promises to me. How he'd promised to prosper me and mold me according to his will for his glory. How he'd placed everything in my life to work out for his glory. I thought of how much he'd changed me and of how much he's been making this vessel into something to honor him. I was afraid of the mountain in my way.

When I came out of my trance, I just seemed to hear something soft as I was walking away.

"Rememeber, the mountain is mine and I can do anything."
