I've been gaining understanding lately, about who I am exactly. It's funny, partly because it's something I've known for quite some time but I've just been failing to put it completely into practice. Sure, there are aspects that I've strengthened, but I suppose it's just the realization that struck me so. . .profound for lack of a better word.

So, what am I babling about?

"We are not at our own disposal."

There. It's simple to say, but the implications are huge. Everything belongs to God, including myself, everything, and everyone. So, when I sin against a brother or sister in Christ. . .or anyone regardless of their personal beleifs, I sin against God. Granted, the fallen condition of man makes it impossible, without Christ, to actually have the will to do what God would find pleasing. To please God, and thereby attain some measure of holiness in our day to day actions and all forms of relationships, is impossible outside of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. . . and it's only when we trust in the realness of our salvation that we ever find peace, acceptance, and the boldness to live our lives in a counter-culture manner, not conforming to our own fallen standards (Romans 12:2) but instead allowing Christ to make us into who we are destined to be.

So where do you go one you've grasped it? Well, you have to live it. James 1:22-25 gives an example that knowing, but not putting such knowlege into action is folly. I'm just as guilty of that at anybody else is.

I have faith that Christ will help my unbeleif.

Now here I lie in the street
An invitation for you to steal a glance at me
While all the village, it gathers
To watch the vultures devour this decaying matter

Come one, come all, (hey, hey, hey)
Whoever wants a taste of me take it for free (2x)

You wanna, You wanna, You wanna, You wanna
Now everyone can say good night to the bad guy

The children fiend for the spoils
Divide what remains before it sinks in the soil
With a gash below the waste
Out it came like milk for everyone to taste
But now it's curdled and sour
Ripe for your stomach to turn in about an hour

Come one, come all, (hey, hey, hey)
Whoever wants a taste of me take it for free (2x)

You wanna, You wanna, You wanna, You wanna
Now everyone can say good night to the bad guy (2x)

Just for a minute pretend
In this illusion that we were ever friends
Nothing is more expensive
Yet it's been given to you at such a bargain
But now the serum is sour
'Cause I was never here for you to devour

Come one, come all, (hey, hey, hey)
Whoever wants a taste of me take it for free (2x)

You wanna, You wanna, You wanna, You wanna
Now everyone can say good night to the bad guy (2x)

I heard a voice through the discord
A deluge of passersby
I saw one gaze frozen in time
Watching me passing by

I swear I'll know your face in the crowd
And I'll hear your voice so loud
When you're whispering

Hey unfaithful I will teach you
To be stronger
Hey ungraceful I will teach you
To forgive one another

Here's my kiss to betray
Desperate to brush the lips of grace
Do you feel hollow when you think of how I lied?

Oh sweet angel of mercy
With your grace like the morning
Wrap your loving arms around me
Oh sweet angel of mercy
With your grace like the morning
Wrap your loving arms around me

Hey unfaithful I will teach you
To be stronger
Hey ungraceful I will teach you
To forgive one another

Hey unfaithful I will teach you
To be stronger
Hey unloving
I will love you
And will love you

Jesus I'm ready to come home
I'm ready to come
Jesus I'm ready to come home
Unfaithful
Ungraceful
And unloving
I will love you
